Best product for its specific purpose
I got this because I don't think there are any other products on the market that quite fulfill the niche that this one does - a standalone dongle that supports both Bluetooth and AirPlay. Being Bose, it's not cheap, even used, but you get what you pay for - operation is very easy, and it integrates with the Bose SoundTouch ecosystem if you already have some of those products. Soundtouch review connectivity issues
The unit is nice WHEN you can get the internet to connect. That one issue is a five minute per use pain in the neck. Connectivity is always a problem. It can be rectified after constant reseting of the back switch. Software Update
Since it was an older model, It would not respond to the APP properly. Had to call Bose to update the software on the unit. This took a while since it appeared the APP could not activate the device and only after the tech rep checked the version of SW via a micro USB hookup did we discern the problem. Givivng New Life To An Older System
Added it to a Bose 321 system thru the optical audio cable that was included. Need to set the optical audio to AUX with the on-screen menu by pressing the System button on the remote.
