This is classic legend of zelda and it's fantastic. Nintendo did this remake of the gameboy original nearly perfectly. The games biggest issue that they have tried to fix but can't is frame rate issues. When playing the game runs at 60fps but it will frequently dip below that (docked or handheld) and sometimes it will dip really low and that can effect combat. Unfortunately it can't be fixed. Even with a modded switch with an overclocked CPU & GPU slowdown still happens and it seems to be a CPU issue. The cpu just isn't fast enough to keep the gpu fed. That said it doesn't see detract from this excellent game. The visuals are really good as is the audio. It also makes a great gift for non gamers. I bought this for my wife who doesn't ever play games but she got into this and her first play session only ended because the battery died. If you own a switch.. you should own this game.Read full review

I really liked the stop action animation look of the game, But wished that the map would show where all the objects are that you can collect, over all it was okay, I started off trying to figure it out on my own & kept finding items I could not reach without another item, Like Pegus boots or hook shot, & after getting killed in 2nd dungeon by Boss, I Used a online walkthrough, & was surprised it ended with only 19 out of 20 hearts, & 2 out of 3 bottles. Not to mention the fact that there were so things I found before the walkthrough said to. Over all the hardest part for me was the fishing game, I got the 2 heart pieces from it, but could not get the 2 secret shells or 2 chamber stones, But over all with walkthrough information on how to defeat Bosses & mini Bosses, it was Okay. This is the 15th Legend Of Zelda Game I have Completed During these past 2 years.Read full review

Definitely a HUGE improvement overall compared regarding the graphics and a few of the gaming features compared to when it first was on the Gameboy! Such as the sword’s laser beam being like a blue plasma beam when Link is at full health. And having several Super Mario statues besides the Yoshi Doll also was a good idea to add in the game for winning them and placing inside houses in Mabe Village. And the inventory menu looked MUCH better as well. However if only Nintendo made the entire map region similar to that in Breath Of The Wild being more realistic and lifelike as well as the dungeons. Then I’d say Link’s Awakening would’ve certainly got a 5-star rating from me had that been the case.

It came in bubble wrap. In a box. I was expecting something... a little flimsier. Instead, I got a veritable TANK ptotecting my game. 10/10 for ensuring safety for the product! XD

I have played all of Zeldas games since the first on came out back in the 80's. This one is a throw back to the original game with the same title that came out for the Nintendo NES. With the big diffrence being a awesome game with todays graphics and sound. Just love it. And at a better price than Walmart or Amazon.
