Great Television series. I'll buy every season as they come out! This, in my opinion is a great show for the whole family. Among the strange antics of Hilda (Caroline Rhea) the 'cooky free spirited aunt and Zelda (Beth Broderick) the more responsible logical aunt are many lessons they both teach Sabrina (Melissa Joan Hart) that all teenagers face. (quite frankly some adults could use a refresher course in some of the lessons) Sabrina is sent to live with her aunts while they help teach her about being a witch, they also teach her many life lessons. Salem the cat, a droll campy character is thrown in this mix often pulling Sabrina in the wrong direction with many antics of his own. Salem's character brings lots of fun and laughs to the show. I, more often then not laughed out load at the well written and acted comedy of this series. Cleaver writing, well cast & most appealing is that this series was able to put across a bunch of fun story lines using good clean fun. Straight up great show. If you haven't seen it, give it a chance. I personally love this shows droll humor.Read full review
Sabrina, the Teenage Witch was a shining beacon of hope in late 1990s tele-vision...watching this DVD version I completely pine for the days when tele-vision produced shows that are family friendly yet interesting, a challenging combination it seems for television to create! Sabrina is a teenager who also happens to be a witch and the series allows you to discover her magic and "grow up with her" through her experiences at high school that she attends with "mortal" children. This series is based on the Archie comic book, the Sabrina character that debuted in Archie's Madhouse #22 from 1963, and continued in early 1970s televsion animation as part of the "Archies" show, but Melissa Joan Hart (of earlier "Clarissa Explains it All" fame from Nickelodeon) makes this series more fun than even the comic book ever was!Read full review
This is the best show for young and pre-teen girls. It is about a young girl starting a new high school and also finds out that she is a witch. Not only does she have all of that to deal with, she also has the high school preppy girl,Libby,on her back and making everything worse.Sabrina learns how to deal with her magic and get back at Libby a few times as well :-)
