As with the program Biggest Loser, the Wieght Loss Yoga Video helps incorporate different types of stretching and excercises into daily or weekly weight loss/ fitness workouts. The format of the video is in 5 stages, Warmup , Yoga Level 1 (Calorie Burning), Level 2 (Fat Blasting),Level 3 (Stength and Stamina) and last Cool Down. My wife and I are relatively new to the concepts of Yoga and have found the excercises fun, challenging and definately a workout, as well as increasing our flexibility and overall fitness.Bob is easy to follow and uses actual Biggest Loser Contestants at different ability levels to demonstrate the workouts. We love the show and the video very much and appreciate what it has done for for us and will continue to do. BR
I brought this dvd because I started exercising (again) and want some variety in my workouts. I've never done yoga before and this seems like a good introduction to it. Bob Harper's instructions are easy to follow, and in each level, he has former contestants doing the "beginner" moves and others doing the "more advanced" moves (it's motivating to see former contestants of different body sizes exercising along). It has different levels and you can combine them into one workout or chose another level for more challenging moves. The workout is hard on the knees, alot of bending of the knees and holding of positions, so if you have bad knees (like I do) it's helpful to modify the moves. It's good on it's own; I do it following a cardio/strength workout. My only complaint is that you can't fast forward through the BL trailer when the dvd starts.Read full review
This is a great workout. I feel that you need to be in pretty good shape to even start this work out. You do many planks/push ups in the very first workout on this somepeople might not be able to do those. I find this video very challenging but extremly rewarding. This biggest loser workout dvd are not your run of the mill videos they have multiple workouts on one dvd so you can choose the difficulty of the workout you want to do. You can choose to omit the warm up or the cool downs if you need to cut your workout short for time. The dvd has a cool menu where you can select that option. This dvd is worth all the work you can lose a lot of weight and get much more flexable along the way. Yoga is great for your back and helping strenghthen your core. I would highly recommend this dvd I would recommend taking your time do the easier videos until you get strong enough to move on don't overdue it.Read full review
I LOVE this DVD! I'm a huge fan of Biggest Loser, and I have always wanted to try yoga, so I was super excited to find this!! I tried about 6 other Yoga based workout DVDs but they were just too corny for my taste. One actually told me to "open my heart and let the love flow in"!! Those types were not the yoga workout for me as I couldn't stop giggling thru them at the comments made. But this one is AWESOME!! And OMG does it work your body! I've only used it for a week so I can't comment on how flexible I've become or anything, but I know I will stick with this one and FINALLY get to experience all the benefits from yoga!! It's a great starting place for those that want to get into yoga but are not that flexible yet. Plus, the DVD stars the contestants off the show, at all different abilities and sizes so it's nice not to have everyone on the video already at yoga mastery level 50 and 2% body fat.Read full review
I just got through level one after two tries. You can do the warm up, the level one workout, and cool down. I'm anticipating when finally can do this freely and head to level 2. Its great to feel the burn and a stretch at the same time. Looking forward to using this a few times a week. Love that you can customize it and he reminds you to breathe regularly. Even though it sounds crazy, I sometimes forget to do it! I also bought the Biggest Loser Boot Camp DVD and the Last Chance workout. I must say though, I like Bob's instructions better. I think he gets it easier but somehow manages to push you in a nice way. I've had the DVD for a few months now and I'll admit I'm slacking. But aT THE SAME TIME i HAVEN'T EVEN ENTERED LEVEL 2 YET. So I know I'll be doing this video for a while and I'm glad. Worth every pennyRead full review
