This item description was for a Canon-branded battery, however, the one I received was probably not. Upon first glance, it looked like a Canon battery, came in authentic-looking Canon packaging, had "Canon" logo molded into the case, the data sticker looked the same as my OEM battery (one that came with my Canon camera). But when I looked closer, I noticed many small differences between them. Also, the battery I received had only about 2/3 the capacity of my OEM Canon battery. I contacted Canon's anti-counterfeit department; they requested photos and other data, and replied with a determination that battery was likely counterfeit. This battery appeared to function ok in my camera, but it's probably not a Canon authentic product as advertised and should have been labeled as an aftermarket battery.Read full review
