I only use Shubb capos. For years I used spring tension capos, but my Ibanez hollow body would quickly go out of tune, mostly because the spring tension was not adjustable, and it pushed the strings down too tightly. I tried a Dunlop capo, because the tension is adjustable, but you had to release the tension to get it off the neck, so it needed to be readjusted each time. Shubb lets you set the tension to exactly what you need. It pops off quickly, and goes back on exactly as it was set. Shubb has a variety of head shapes for various guitar neck radius's and neck styles, and a variety of colors. Years back I never thought I would spend $20 on a capo. Now I wouldn't use anything else. If you are into music, Shubb makes the best, most cost effective capos in the industry.

Love this capo. We've purchased at least 5 of this capo product. The color is great; subtle and does not draw attention when in use. It's an excellent product. Very pleased with the product life and performance.

I had bought a standard "spring" type capo. It doesnt work on one of my acoustics because of its curved fretboard. So I bought this one. WORKS PERFECTLY. I use it on a Takamine 12 strung and it holds ALL the strings down WITHOUT A BUZZING. Plus it just looks cool with the brass finish. 100% HAPPY!

Ah yes, the Shubb in brass. It's aging so well with a beautiful patina. You simply cannot do better than a Shubb. They've really thought out the whole design. Replaceable rubber bits and all, it's designed to last a lifetime which is unusual in our throwaway culture. It's the way we built things once here in the USA (and other countries too!). Not the best business model but kind to the musician and to the planet. These are discreet too, they look unassuming and they work better than anything else I've encountered. I was an anti-capo elitist snob before a kid wanted to learn some Smiths and Beatles tune and I bought one right away. First thing that grabbed me is the look, second the simplicity, third the weight. I sold these for year when I was a dealer and knew it to be good. I was impressed by what a thoughtful company they are offering replacement parts for what wears out. I use mine daily. So if you want the best, these are only about twenty bucks. Do not cheap out. Go for that lifetime purchase!Read full review

This is a great capo, I bought the brass model to match the gold hardware on my Martin J-40 acoustic. It works perfectly, it's easy to use and adjust, would buy again without any hesitation.
