Padded cases vs non-padded cases
I purchased these cases to store my drums, cause I don't play as often anymore and wanted to protect them from damage during storage. These cases are padded (not heavy pads) , the other ones that I considered buying were NOT padded , I'm glad I chose these. The zippers are heavy duty, the canvas is nice and stiff and the logo is nicely embroidered , they all have handles that makes it easy to transport the drums. Worth the price.
I bought these bags to store my kit while the wife uses my studio to work from home. I’m not really a drummer but a guitarist who also owns a drum kit so I won’t be transporting these much. I’d definitely recommend them though for regular gigging drummers to lug their kit of any price level. I would easily expect these bags to last the life of your drums. Only get these if your going to use with drums 1 size smaller in diameter than listed
The bags are at the small side of the diameter for each drum. Very hard to load a drum into the bag. The drums tried did not have a rims mount. Almost had to "shoehorn" the 12 & 13 into the bag. The 16 was a little easier, but still tight. 22 bass was okay Evan for a weekend player, the frustration of loading would have been unnecessary at the end of a night of playing out.
