About this product

Product Information

The Datacard SP75 is a standalone security ID production system that can also be used in conjunction with other printers to provide added security. On its own, this ID card thermal printer can be used to print one- or two-sided ID cards with a number of different colors, laminate them, and overlay ultraviolet security printing. The Datacard printer connects with USB cables or a network cable, making it easy to send high-quality images for improved security. Organizations that already have card printers can still take advantage of the thermal printer’s laminating and UV coating capabilities. The Datacard SP75 Plus can also be used to quickly roll out new security systems, with a print capacity of up to 175 cards per hour with a single-sided image and lamination. Users also appreciate that this Datacard printer can send data about the cards back to any computer for auditing purposes, as well as locking parts of the device so that it is difficult to use in case of theft. On top of that, the Datacard SP75 Plus offers an optional magnetic stripe encoding system for swipe access. Whether for an upgrade or a standalone security system, the printer can save time without risking security breaches.

  • Get a newer Model (not used)

Ok so I am sure for its day this was a good card printer but now it's lacking any updates functional (not crashing after every print) Drivers. There is absolute no Linux drivers I can find or OSX Drivers, or Windows 10 Drovers. The network drivers don't work at all the currently installed drivers allow for printing but adjurlting any features or options don't seem to work. Also these SP 75 models have UV capability but as of yet I can. It find any software that supports printing from the UV panel of the ribbon. Also if you buy this used you do not get any complimentary card creation, magemenr software from datacard. Also and more importantly unless you spend the extra like $300.00 on the correct version and title (not ID Works) of celreditinal software (TrueCreditinals) you will not really be able to print usable cards. And after you spend the money in software Datacard will charge another $159 dollars to attempt to assist you only to find out that your printer is no longer supported as its eolp... If you wann print on to cards cheaply use inkjet card printer trays. If your needs are for corporate or school creditable printing. System. Don't buy used or cheap get a Zebra or Hid Card printer bit a new model so they are still supported.
