didn't sound great and quit after two weeks
I had high hopes for this device, as Marantz is a quality name with a rich history and a fine reputation. I remember listening to my first Marantz in 1979, and it sounded wonderful to me. I was hoping this receiver would bring my music to life like never before. Unfortunately I was disappointed on all fronts. This receiver replaced a circa 1990's Carver unit of similar rated power. Unfortunately, the Marantz sounded dull and lifeless in comparison to the much older Carver. Then, after just about two weeks, the receiver completely went out. I have not attempted to return it yet, and without the original box, that may prove to be quite difficult. I hope you have better luck than I did.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
