Gets me to my destination
Likes: A really nice feature is the lists of cities and streets that come up after typing a few characters and the list of available address numbers once you have city and street name. Overall its easy to operate. Dislikes: Hard to see on really sunny days, 2005 addresses not found in maps from 2009 but it gets you close. Suction cup loosen after a few hours causing unit to fall. Small but mighty
At first I thought it was too small, but it is a great system. It is so easy to use, it only takes one letter to get a lot of streets, and it gives you the possible house numbers,so even if you don't have the exact address you can get directions. Older but very functional
My first Magellan automotive GPS was a 1200, and then a 1210 followed. The 1220 is a later model of a well designed GPS that can be used both wired and on internal battery. The update rates are consistent and only occasionally did any false positives appear. On reading the details of GPS functionality, it is stated as its apparent error in locating the receiver may vary. The nature of the beast.
