MX vs. ATV Reflex is another very solid release from Rainbow Studios, though the franchise hasn't changed a ton in the gameplay department despite some pretty hefty on-paper features. The controls are still great, the track design is at the top of its class and there are enough events here to keep you coming back for ages, not to mention a very solid and capable online component. If you're a fan of offroad racing, this is definitely worth a serious look, though don't go in expecting a completely different racing experience. 7.5 Presentation Lots of content to be found and the in-race presentation has seen great improvements, though the menus are rather drab. 7.0 Graphics The terrain deformation is great and the draw distance is good, but the PS3 version has some blurry textures in the distance. 8.0 Sound The soundtrack is nothing to write home about, but the engine sounds are what matter, and they're handled quite well. 7.5 Gameplay Despite a number of new features, longtime fans will find the gameplay to be similar to past titles. The trick judging could use some work. 7.5 Lasting Appeal Lots of events to run through and a solid online component will keep you coming back for hours and hours. 7.8 Good OVERALL Review by IGN.com http://ps3.ign.com/articles/105/1051178p1.html This game is available for sale in my eBay Store at a good price: http://stores.ebay.com/Mariio128-GamemateRead full review
I am an adult who played the simpler Atari games as a teenager. A while back I decided to get an XBox 360 and get all the highly recommended games. I understand there are more powerful gaming systems out there, but I am happy with the XBox 360. While I am still getting used to the controller, I like that the game has an large open road area where you can just ride and get used to each vehicle. One of the reasons I got this game was it didn't require a lot of detailed knowledge about the vehicles you are driving. I enjoy the arcade aspect of the game. While I have scored dead last in my first few races, I am looking forward to getting better.

My 9 year old son loves this game. Great racing. The tricks are really neat. A very good value. Nice 2 player mode.

Speedy delivery, when my son got this game he loves it and stayed on it for hours on end I absolutely had to make him get off of it and eat dinner. He said the graphics are great and loves the different options he has on this. Thanks guys for the opportunity to purchase this game for him!!!

The game gets an average rating. I bought the original MX VS. ATV Unleashed back like 5+yrs ago and still play it today. GREAT game. This game falls way short though. The reflex takes some time to learn and is horrible. I'm sorry, but if you're in a trophy truck then leaning your body won't make it turn more. The physics are horribly off on this game in every aspect. The bikes aren't as bad but quads, trucks, etc are so bad that it just ruins the games entirely. I paid like $12 shipped for the game which makes it worth it as a cheap game to play, but do yourself a favor and buy the original Unleashed game on Xbox instead. It works on the 360 anyway and is way better. This game has no real tracks, only a handful of supercross and national tracks, and is just dumb at times. If you race a quad you may see McGrath, Stewart, etc racing with you. Only 2 quad riders in the game, I don't believe any trophy truck drivers, virtually no realistic machines other than KTM's. You can mod your machines but the performance does not increase with top of the line parts over cheap crap even. Just a horribly put together game. If you never played their previous games, MX 2002, Superfly, Unleashed, you'll probably like this one though. Gameplay: 5 out of 10. Physics: 4 out of 10. Realistic value: 6 out of 10. Only because tracks look phenomenal. Career mode: 3 out of 10. Horrible way they changed it to. Overall game: 4 out of 10. It seems like they threw it together without caring too much about it. Didn't make a good fit/finish, nor enjoyable gameplay. This is one game I will be reselling. Unleashed blows this game out of the water. Again, but that, not Refex. It may be a bit outdated, but the gameplay, real life tracks, tons of real riders, etc, is way better.Read full review
