I've come to love post nuclear America. Fallout 4 is good and I also love playing Fallout New Vegas. The graphics of New Vegas look like Fallout 3. I'm playing the game on my Xbox Series X and they have some kind of upgrade software pack so that I can play this Xbox 360 game. I've enjoyed playing this game but there are some difficult area's. Overall I'm satisfied with the game. The lunch box is really well designed with the basic idea of all Fallout lore and what it's about. I love the large Vault-tek bobblehead. I wish they would sell all of the individual Vault-Tek bobblehead's from the games. I haven't yet watched the DVD that comes in the lunch box so I'm not sure what's on it. I also loved the Fallout 3 artwork book. I've seen some of the individual pages as large image's like the destroyed Capital area and the aircraft carrier. I'm really glad that I bought this item from it's previous owner. Everything in this collectors edition was worth the money for me. Thank you!!!Read full review

Of all the Fallouts, Fallout 3 has to be my top favorite. If you're new into Fallout I would recommend 3 over the others. Not that the other Fallout games are bad except maybe Fallout 76, but Fallout 3 feels more full story wise, it's not too easy but also not crazy hard. Everything feels balanced in 3 and if you play it on a Series X it looks amazing. I used to own the day one Fallout but it was stollen so getting the Game of the Year Addition has been really great. It has a little more added to it and cannot recommend it enough. If you want a Fallout game that looks more "new" go with 4. 4 looks graphically better of course because it's newer but it just doesn't have the personality that 3 has. So definitely start with 3 and work your way up from there! Just maybe skip Fallout 76 unless you can play it for free on Game Pass or if a friend gives it to you.Read full review

I bought my first copy of Fallout 3 because I was a fan of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and heard this would be an RPG of a similar format... but with more "technologically advanced" weaponry and firearms. How could I say no to that? I'm glad I decided on purchasing it, because Fallout 3 is now one of my all-time favorite games (and am pretty thrilled to have purchased a copy to replace the one I lost). The post-post-Apocalyptic theme is endearing in a morbid kind of way. It has nearly unlimited replay value, as you have multiple options for character design, side quests and the main story line. Its soundtrack is easy to love, with its swing, big band style tunes. The weapons are inventive and fun to use, and the kill animations are gory enough to keep my attention, but not bad enough to make the most squeamish turn away. The only complaint I have is that there are far too many glitches, especially for a game from 2009. There's no excuse; they should have been fixed by now. I've learned to work around them by saving frequently and carefully checking game wiki sites to avoid the more common ones. For me, it's not a make-or-break issue, but can easily see how it would be for some. I believe Fallout 3 to be a true classic. It's worth a try.Read full review
This is a great experience for any first person RPG players. There are plenty of glitch none of them were game breaking. It’s a very fun experience and I liked the repair system and the companions were good. Great game and it felt harder than New Vegas did for the first few hours.

This game is an excellent investment for any devoted gamer to play, but it does have some flaws. My first play through had me over and done with in about 15 hours. This may sound like a lot of time, but simply following the main story causes you to overlook some very fun and interesting side quests that make up a majority of the game. I would highly recommend a game guide to go along with it to get the full effect. The "Game of the Year" edition is worth its weight in gold for the added DLC bonus. Each of the 5 DLC's add an additional 2-3 hours of gameplay to fully complete and also boost your max gamerscore potential to 1550. I would also suggest saving often, because this game has the tendency of freezing. This may have been an isolated incident with my xbox, but I have noticed similar complaints.Read full review
I played this game when it first came out, never got to play the DLC, though. This was a great addition to my collection, and was a great shot of nostalgia in the process.

Even now in late 2021 this game still holds it own. Graphics are somewhat dated, but gameplay, story, immersion is unparalleled even by today's standards.
