The Battle Force 5 franchise seems to have been made with little boys in mind. It features a team of diverse characters brought together to be secret heroes, protecting the earth from two hostile alien races. The game has two modes. The first is a story mode where a single player progresses through various battle zones, rescuing team members, using different vehicles from the Battle Force 5 team for different tasks, and facing off with the iconic villains from the TV show. The second mode is a battle mode, where either one or two players can participate in a "capture the flag" type of game where they try to find a battle key, pick it up without being intercepted, and get through a storm shock portal to score points. Of course, you can use various weapons against the other players to slow them down and score points that way, as well. In this mode, the players can use any of the vehicles from the Battle Force 5 team, or they can take the wheel of one of several of the major villains' vehicles. Each vehicle handles differently and has different powers, like the Reberb's sonic artillery, the Saber's transforming buzz saw chassis, and the evil Zemerick's dark matter blades and energy whip. If your kids love the Battle Force 5 TV show, they will love this game. Even if they are unfamiliar with the show, fans of combat racing, cool sci-fi cars, and vehicular combat will be pleased. We have not experienced any glitches or bugs, and the frame rate is smooth. The controls are responsive and intuitive. Both my 5 year old and my 3 year old have picked up on the controls well enough to beat me in the "battle" mode. While there is sci-fi combat violence consisting of car collisions and some projectiles, nobody is killed (robots get destroyed, and monsters get wounded and retreat). Overall, it is a kid friendly game that little boys should go crazy for and parents shouldn't mind playing along as well. The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to offer a cooperative mode.Read full review
My 12 year old grandson introduced my four yr old grandson (his cousin) to the world of Battle Force Five via the cartoon series! The four year has become a collector of everything and anything BFF. I thank God for Ebay because I have been able to purchase many of the licensed toys and cars associated with that series that do not exist in retail anymore. However, the best is this Wii game! He is only four but he can handle all the aspects of the game plus this game keeps Battle Force Five genre alive since you cannot find the show on TV or have watched the DVR'd shows and the videos over and over. Mom and Dad get to play too! The only downside is enforcing the time limit to play electronics.
My son absoltely loves this game. He loved the show just cannot get enough of this game. It is a great price to pay for the amount of entertainment he has recieved with this game. The game play is simple enogh for the youngest of players to grasp. I was skeptical when I bought it but an extremely glad that I did buy this game
My 5 1/2 year old loves his Battle Force 5 Wii game. He likes to switch between story mode and battle mode (I have no idea what those two things are but they are very important to him). I would highly recommend to any Vert Wheeler fan!
It started when my kids saw the DVD movie for Force5 before they started yelling for the Wii game. Yeah they are really satisfied with, but it;s more attractive and challenging for my elder kid (7 years), the other one (5 yrs) is just watching most of time:)
