Performs like any 8400GS, only quieter
An nVidia 8400GS-based video card has been my "go to" video card for my Hackintoshes for many years now. Previously, I used nVidia 7200GS-based video cards. But Mac OS X made the transition from a 32-bit kernel to a 64-bit kernel, and this change mandates a 64-bit solution, as the later, more modern releases of Mac OS X do not have a "force 32-bit kernel" boot mode. All the same, this card works well, and is absolutely silent. Just make sure your case has adequate cooling, as supplementary cooling is required to keep this card cool.

Answer to Windows 10 upgrade when graphics incompatibility is a limiting factor.
I service many customers whose older PCs cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 because their integrated graphics do not and will not have new drivers that are Windows 10 certified. I chose to use this pci-e PNY GeForce 8400GS because it is inexpensive, uses readily available nVidia Windows 10 drivers. Never a glitch.
