Fast Card, Good Value, Cheap price!
Ah yes the Radeon HD 4650! This is a premiere Dx10 card. With 1GB of onboard video ram you have to love this thing as it also comes in AGP format as do many other radeon cards before the end of the 4000 series! If you are buildilng an older AGP 8X system I highly recommend this card. I also have an AGP 8x Radeon 3850 which IS MUCH faster but only has 512megs of ram and is super expensive. I recommend this card to anyone who has an old AGP system they want to upgrade. It's rock solid, low wattage for a card this powerful and has plenty of bells and whistles including the ability to play bluray and other 1080p formats such as h.264 mp4. This is a DX10 so remember it won't play things like Unreal Engine 4 or Crysis 3, or anything that requires DX11. But it does play all DX10 games and with extremely good framerates. I suggest an intel motherboard and chipset, i have been having problems with these super fast radeon AGP cards while using VIA chipset motherboard. If you do use a VIA chipset motherboard be sure to download VIA Hyperion Drivers (if you are using AMD Athlon XP CPU specifically) it will increase stability and performance. Only issue is that in Direct3d games like WoW and Crysis i have to limit the draw distance as it stutters if I don't. But this is not a card issue, this is a VIA chpset issue. It doesn't do that without the VIA chipset drivers. If I don't install the VIA drivers it does nto stutter at all no matter what the draw distance settings are in any game unfortunately for me without the VIA chipset drivers OpenGL doesn't seem to work and the system is crash prone. I highly recommend this card for anyone desiring a rock solid DX10 card that can play any game from DX10 back to the beginning of time!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
