Real-time dynamic switching of the voltage and frequency between multiple performance modes is based on CPU demand. This occurs by switching the bus ratios, core operating voltage, and core processor speeds without resetting the system. Multiple Enhanced Intel SpeedStep technology operating points enable optimal performance at the lowest power.

Laptop upgrade SUCCESS ! ! !
My wife had me research what the fastest CPU would be in our 2003 Dell laptop. This CPU was it. She bought it as a surprise for me. Works great! Between the 300 mhz / 0.3 GHz speed bump AND going from a Celeron to a P4 ( 1/2 meg cache to 1 meg cache ! ) This laptop is about 30 % faster and handles multitasking MUCH better! Good thing my xp pro still gets Windows security updates until June 2019 !!!!!! Thanks for the old hardware at VERY fair prices!!!
