Got a free broken HP slimline s3000, it had a bad motherboard & CPU. Replaced the motherboard with a used HP OEM A8MN-BR Hematite GL8E Motherboard ASUS ($56 on ebay) & a used AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2 GHz Processor ADA3200IAA4CN ($20 ebay. Added a external fan, replaced OS from Vista to XP Professional. The system runs great and cool was a bargain for under $100. Ebay's a great resource for new & used computer parts ! Service time was about a week.
