Bought a newer, faster CPU for an untrashed T60. Turns out it had a Core Duo, which was not 64-bit capable (at least for me it wasn't). So I looked up which Core 2 Duo CPUs it supported, and hoped whichever one I bought would be basically a quick swap. Turns out it really is! Had to mostly dismantle my T60, but the die cover was already pretty clean when I got it! Put it all back together, it booted first try! Even running Prime95 for an hour (for some break-in on the thermal paste) didn't see the fan working too hard!

This thing comes neatly and securely packed. It's in a cardboard box, inside a very big amount of bubble wrap. The processor itself comes in a plastic "box" with small amount of Halnziye Thermal Paste, and the pins are protected with the small amount of foam. In my case, CPU had deformed pins, which I straited with a toothpick/flat head screwdriver combo. After I popped it into a slot, I haven't had any problems. It works as of the time writing this review. Only recommendation is to change the Thermal Paste that comes with it to something better. Kryonaut, GC Extreme, Arctic MX-4 or something else. Because with these things you never know.

Bought to upgrade the processor in an old Dell D820 laptop. It works well and is twice as fast as the original CPU. I was able to install windows 10 and now have a useful spare laptop.

My old Dell e1505 was slowing down and acting like life was over. So after doing some digging on YouTube and Google I found that a faster wifi card and CPU would perk up my old buddy. It was easier than I ever thought it would be to take it apart and upgrade this unit, now it is really really faster than ever before and I hope it will be with me many more years. I even souped up my wife's old Dell 1525 with the same items. I would do it over again in a snap, every thing I needed to know to get it done was found in YouTube.

Now I have the Intel T7400 since 3 weeks in my Acer Notebook Aspire 5710 an I am very happy with this CPU. My Notebook goes much better than before with the original T2450 CPU. Before I changed the CPU`s I updated to the latest Intel GMA945 Driver. The Cooler is not working so often like bevore and specially at new starting the notebook needs not so much cooling and it works better - especially at video rendering and Internet surfing.
Picked this up as an upgrade to an old laptop, since I had to replace the CPU fan while I was at it. Arrived quickly (nice to find these in the US!) and worked like a champ. Thank you!

Upgrading an old IBM Thinkpad with this chip. It seems to perform correctly with no bios changes. It is not the best chip for this mother board, but the best for price vs performance.
