I'm very pleased with the CPU. It has renewed my old Lenovo and made it almost like a new computer. I also upgraded the RAM and installed Windows 7 Ultimate, which would not have been possible without this CPU. Because of the great price on the CPU, I was able to upgrade both the CPU and the RAM for less than $35. Incredible!

I bought this CPU as an upgrade for a Toshiba Satellite A105 with a lowly T1350 Core Solo 32-bit processor (533/667MHZ FSB). The Socket-M based Core-series CPUs are one of the few laptop processors that can be upgraded to the next generation of Intel CPUs (64-bit Core 2). I patched the BIOS to the latest version and then gave this T7600 CPU a try. It worked like a champ. Using Artic Silver 5 thermal paste I have had no thermal issues. Then again, the power consumption difference between a T7x00 CPU and a wimpy Core Solo is only 3 watts (31W vs. 34W). Most heat changers ought to have this small amount (10%) of thermal overhead built into the design. If you want to bring new life to your 32-bit Core laptop, give a T7x00 series Core 2 Duo CPU a try. The T7200, T7400 and T7600 all have 4MB of L2 cache and very similar clock rates (2.0 to 2.33 GHz). Just make sure you get the correct socket (M or P) and front side bus for your application (533, 667 or 800 MHz).Read full review
The T7600 processor is the top of the Core 2 Duo series. I had an Acer Aspire 5633Wlmi, with an Intel T5500 and I wanted to slightly upgrade it with this CPU, mostly to have the hardware virtualization available. I use virtual machines a lot so I knew that having this mechanism supported directly at hardware level would have improved things sensibly. Hence I bought a used but reconditioned T7600 (a new one would have costed me way too much), reflashed the BIOS with a modified version I found on the web and there: the processor is working perfectly, the vtx is there fully working and I have to say the performances of my machine got improved almost on every point of view. Excellent buy this was.
I bought this processor to upgrade my laptop, IBM T60, motherboard: Intel Calistoga i945gm pm. It originally had a Core duo 2400 @ 1800MHz. Updated the bios and this chip worked great. Very fast, all the speed is available and is in use. FSB is 667 just like my old chip so no gains there, but it's the same speed as the fastest ram available for that board, so compatibility is great. I was very satisfied with the description of the product; all the specifications were available. This is the best chip that my motherboard will take. I can't compare it to anything else. It simply wins.
its perfect for mac mini 2007 .. it runs just super good, with ubuntu 20 installed on upgraded version of mac mini 2007 .. bigger cpu and bigger ram. then i have a perfect mac mini 2007 with ubuntu 20 on ... don't complain .. the money is to buy an upgrate of cpu for mac mini. Cool.. and the ordered cpu came 2 days before than expect .. perfekt
