Athlon LE 1640 is an inexpensive and low performance cpu and not really powerful enough to run anything intensive other than office or light photo editing programs. It certainly isn't what you want if you do a lot of multitasking. Just changing to a Athlon dual core 4450b 2.3ghz even with the 45w low voltage made a big difference in performance.

I upgraded from my 1.6GHZ to this one. It made a huge difference. I have been running this for quite some time. Have had no problem. Bought used for 7 bucks!
