Changed the CPU from a T2080 to this T2700, in a Dell I6400 laptop! To change the CPU in a I6400, you have to take it almost totally apart! If you want to do this, find the service manual and be careful not to brake anything! I did it, and it runs really nice!

Careful handling when installing and you're good to go with 20% speed increase. Inexpensive also.

IF YOU HAVE A CHIPSET THAT TAKES MEROM CPU'S AND THE ONLY SPEED YOU CAN GO UPTO IS 2.33GHZ AND YOU THAT THE T7600 IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO GET THEN THIS IS THE CPU YOU NEED TO GET.
Work fine.

I have not received this product just yet but I cannot wait to get this. It's been almost 10 years that I have not upgraded this laptop and it's been waiting for a upgrade for a long time. It's going to be a long wait but I cannot wait to put this bad boy into my system
It was never sent!

I bought this processor to upgrade my mac mini. Result, he is the fastest mac mini core duo in the world and it is very close to a core 2 duo 2.26. GEEKBENCH is at 2973. In fact, super purchase!
Worked great. Obviously it wasn't easy to install, but that has more to do with the fact that a laptop is hard to build by its very nature and necessitates taking apart the entire thing to get to the CPU. Great product, boots great, was the top processor that fit this socket and for a dual-core runs at a 2.6 ghz clockspeed somehow boosting passed its original 2.33 ghz clockspeed. Runs great for everyday web surfing and some minor youtube videos at lower resolutions (graphics were not good enough for HD video of any sort, but it ran fine at 480p which looks surprisingly good on this lower resolution display that came with laptop) Pros: Best in the lineup Clocked higher than originally designated Ran at a cool 25 degrees idle no more than 50 under load running cpu stress Cons: Hard to get to because laptops in this time frame are a pain in the ass to take apartRead full review
