Well obviously this will not stack up to the 8th Gen i7, but for the age, it was a noticeable step up from the one I was using. I voted it was not easy to install because you have to take nearly everything else on the computer off to get to it. I did it in just under an hour, but it's not an entry level job. Still a good CPU.

The cpu came well packed with thermal paste in the box! I was amazed! As i know is a very good cpu but i didn't install it yet because it has different FSB (1066mhz and my old cpu is 800mhz this means it has a smaller multiplier) with my laptop and it will slow it down! Anw very good product
