This was an incredible deal... and fast delivery. I had already upgraded my RAM and installed 2 SSD drives, so the only thing left to upgrade was the processor. Video Tutorial : search You Tube for qDptUyVh5XI for a video showing all the steps involved The overall process didn't take very long, and within about 1 hour I now have a 2.6gHz processor! Also this processor has VT-x, which means I can now create 64bit virtual machines in VirtualBox. Extremely happy with this seller, and the chip was packaged VERY well, also arrived before promised. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with this seller in the future.

This is getting to be a pretty old processor, but there are a lot of perfectly functional Core2Duo laptops running around that are easily upgradable. I installed this T9500 in an old Sony VAIO VGN-NW240F to give it a new lease on life, and it's easily as fast as my tablet - except with a full keyboard and large display. It took a machine that was destined for the thrift store or dumpster and turned it back into a machine I carry with me frequently. To be sure, it's not going to make an old Core 2 machine feel like any reasonably priced modern system, but my upgraded VAIO is now faster than some of the *new* low-end computers sold at places like Walmart. It definitely will trounce anything with an Atom or Pentium CPU. The best use for this CPU is to upgrade older machines and use them as Chromebooks, but it runs well under Linux as well. Given I only paid $30 for this one, I consider it well worth the investment. I'm writing this review on the Sony right now.Read full review

Firstly I upgraded my Santa-Rosa based Dell Latitude D630 from a T7300 to a T8300. So I got the Penryn architecture (better power efficiency, more performance per same clock), additional 400MHz and lost 1MB of cache (not a big deal, as it turns out). It was a huge improvement. A T8300 is faster than any T7xxx I could fit to a D630, eats less power. Windows 7 experience index had gone from 5.2 to 6.0. But I just couldn't live with 3MB of cache at that point, it somehow seemed that I'm not getting the performance I could get from my Dell Latitude D630 paired with a penryn (I edit & render videos with Sony Vegas x64) so I got the T9500, OEM version for a fortune. T9500 runs at 2.6GHz - 200MHz faster than T8300, has 6MB of cache - twice as much. I was disappointed. It costed more than twice as much ($239), but was only a little bit faster. Windows 7 experience index now is 6.2. Sony Vegas render videos only a little bit faster. And it produces more heat and therefore uses more power than the T8300 did (not as much as my Merom based T7300 though - Penryn is still a Penryn). Those extra 3MB of cache just didn't make that difference I was expecting, I only felt those 200MHz. And that 6MB cache means larger die size and worse power comsumption (Penryn core for 6MB versions, Penryn-3M - for 3MB cpu versions). So, while it's the fastest CPU besides the x9000 you can put into a Santa-Rosa based laptop, it's just not worth the price. If you want that cache badly, go for T9300. But I promise, the best choice is the t8300. It's efficient in every single way - price, performance (2.4GHz), power consumption (Penryn, 3MB cache). Just remember, Dual-Core i7 CPUs nowadays don't have more than 4MB of cache :)Read full review
This T9500 replaced a 1.2xGHz processor in a Dell Vostro 1500 notebook giving it a much improved performance curve. Previously a web site with a large video background, like a drone stream, would be jagged and not smooth. The T9500 eliminated that issue. Really good value upgrade to keep an older notebook very usable for a few more years. Nice product, exactly as described. Replacement took about 40 minutes and allowed a deep clean of Dell notebook guts - FrED

This is the fastest processor that my Latitude D630 can handle based on my online research. I certainly do not notice a huge increase in speed but I am happy that the upgrade worked without a hitch in my windows 10 machine. There was not problem installing it. I did purchase new cooling compound to replace what was on the old processor

My 8 year old Lenovo T61 64 bit recently bought from Ebay very low priced, and added a hard drive which I already had and bought a new oem ac adapter (also from Ebay) worked quite well. Has 4 gig of ram and a Toshiba 320 gig hard drive. The stock cpu of dual core 2.10 mhz - T8100 was okay, but now is much faster at everything with about the max of a cpu that I can put in this. The Dual core T9500 at 2.60 Mhz. Great item, and thank you much Ebay seller. I have installed it and I am using it now to write this. Just great, Cordially, Bill (long time Ebay item buyer)

Fair price for an old CPU that works just fine. It was properly packaged and clean. Shipping time took so long I thought it may be on that proverbial boat from China. The delay was probably due to the US Post Office and/or Customs. I do, however, recommend.

I installed this 2.60 ghz processor in a Dell Inspiron 1525 (replaced a Dual Core Pentium 2.0 ghz...lightning quick in comparison). Works really well with a solid state drive running Windows 10 64 bit.

Bought it for my old HP laptop, managed to give it some extra and much needed oomph. Not light speed or anything, but it's actually usable now. Shipping took some time but it arrived at least. Recommended.

A 10 minute install on the Dell Inspiron 1525, this CPU works perfectly. Speed is noticeably increased with good temps. My only annoyance was the sticker placed on the circuit board which I felt obligated to remove in consideration that it probably gets pretty warm in there. I hate it when people put stupid sticky things on objects, but that's pretty thin beef given that the CPU functions flawlessly.
