I purchased a 2002 SAAB 9-3 SE recently and it quickly started throwing a CEL and the code indicating the plugs were "sooty". Although that didn't prove to be the case, I discovered they were not the PFR6H-10 that are recommended. My information indicated that the wrong plugs could cause this code and possibly damage the DI Cassette (aka coil pack). I replaced the DI Cassette at the same time since I didn't want to take any chances. At about $40 total (around $10 per plug), they were a bit on the pricey side but ultimately, along with the new cassette, they fixed my CEL and cleared the code. On a side note, these came "pre-gapped" at .036" but I found my application recommended a .039" gap. It's probably a good idea to check your recommended gap along with the actual gap on the plug before installing. Overall, I am pleased with these plugs and will buy them again if/when the time comes.
