John Saul is generally the master of suspense and horror, but in this offering the only horrifying thing was the horrible storyline! In this lengthy (meaning, longer than the paragragh that it SHOULD have been) offering, a medical experiment finally goes right, but not in the way one would have liked. An overachieving scientist designs a serum that allows a group of children to have superhealing abilities. But when repeated casualities arise from the drug trials, and a few parents sniff out the underhanded medical experiment, all hell breaks loose. Ultimately two super-humans are unleashed unto society with the threat of horrendous things to come. Ri-di-cu-lous tale!
I recommend The God Project. It is a good value and the content is compelling.
