After I bought the filters I got worried that these filters may not be any good. I like the steel filters better but you can't see inside like the plastic shell ones. Plastic also you can see dirt inside the filter. So why did I buy steel because I have had the plastic where the hose slides on bend by the summer sun. Worried that someday it would break I went back to steel. There is only one way to see inside a steel filter is to cut it open. I was pleasurely surprised that everything looked good. A paper/cardboard / pleted type filter like I have seen many times before. I believe this filter is a good value for the money. Check out my pics.

I actually bought two of these. One to use soon because I bought a classic car that had been in 18 year storage. I will use one and keep the second one as an extra if i have fuel line debris and have blockage in first used filter.

Exactly what I needed; it even comes with the special clamps my classic car came with! The 2 short hoses are icing on the cake! And it is metal, just like the original (not plastic). And the price is spectacular; very happy with purchase!
