Get the rush of snowboarding from the comfort of the couch by playing the sporty video game SSX Tricky. SSX Tricky is a snowboarding game made to play on the Nintendo GameCube. Players can choose from a variety of fun and colorful characters to perform and show off crazy and extreme snowboarding feats. The game features many different venues and intricate courses to play in as well as unlockable and special snowboarding tricks. Performing certain tricks can even unlock new venues and character traits. Players can track their scores and trick combinations so that they can see who leads with the highest score.
SSX Tricky is a game that I had during the lifetime of the Nintendo Gamecube, and I absolutely love it to this day. From the personalities of the characters to the high-octane snow action to the absolute absurdity of the “uber tricks” for which the game got Tricky in its title. Some things haven’t necessarily aged well, but for a piece of that time in which it was created, it stands out as a great example of what could and should be done on Nintendo’s first disk-based console (the 64DD doesn’t count). If you have a Cube or a Wii, buy this game.
Instantly a reminder of my childhood!
My gaming setup for ssx tricky is the first revision of the Nintendo Wii w/ a GREY gamecube wavebird wireless controller!
Fun fact: the grey wavebird is the most expensive wireless GameCube controller to buy to this day and I’m glad I got mine 16 years ago! Av to hdmi adaptor is required for 65” of classic memories😁
The first SSX game came out on the Playstation 2 in what seems like forever ago, the year 2000. However, about a year later when the Xbox and Gamecube came out, EA sports saw fit to revamp the title to include more tracks and more fun. The tracks and graphics are incredibly beautiful and a lot of fun to navigate. There are shortcuts galore on each track, and this is a game that will take you years to master, but you'll always have fun while playing it. All three editions by the way are about the same, so no matter what platform you play it on, it'll be a lot of fun.
Always loved this game and when I saw it all the memories cam back the game was in awesome shape the disc the game book and case were so awesome thanks
