I have owned two of these processors. The first I put into a machine I sold to a family that needed a reliable home computer for basic tasks. The higher clock and ddr3 and ddr2 support is nice as well as the low power consumption. Combined with 2 gigs of ram they are pleased with the system. The second is sitting in my living room in a HTPC that, compined with the core unlocking feature of my gigabyte motherboard allowed me to unlock it to a dual core. This is result is hit or miss, or luck of the draw rather. If i hadent unlocked it though it would have been perfectly suitable for my needs.
I bought this to test a motherboard that was having some problems to determine whether it was the motherboard or CPU. You can buy these for under $10 which makes it a cheap testing part to have around.

This cpu is only good to get in an operating system to flash or into your bios. It's not even worth the $25'ish to use as a main cpu. If all you're doing is flashing a bios, this is a great and cheap chip. If anything else, spend $10 more or something on a phenom or opteron.

I bought it as a cheap temporary processor while waiting for a deal on a fx, but this cpu has quite a bit of power. Mine unlocked to a Athlon II with no difficulty and it's good enough that I can wait for a spectacular deal on something better.
