Quick and basic
Setup was a breeze as it's just "plug and play" on the network. No setup via interface is needed or available so it's just physical hookup. Switches speed up transfers between machines with Gigabit ports (most all of my computers) so it's important on my network for file sharing traffic from machine to machine. Wireless just can't compare!
