This particular brand rated very well. I waited until my first real use to review this. Unfortunately the one I got had way less punch than you’d expect from this size machine. Frankly I’ve had smaller demo hammers that worked better. For the money I spent I expected more of a brute.

I bought this item because I have a a basement water problem in my 1950's home. I needed to remove approximately 6" strip 130 feet long of 6" thick concrete. Thuis concrete is not the wimpy stuff you find in newer homes that MAY be 4" thick. My cement was made with creek gravel and for those who have ever had to break it up or just drill it, it is one of the hardest concrete mixes to alter. After I bought the brute, I had to purchase some better chisels because the single point just punched holes but could not crack it. Now that I have the chisels it is doing the job and I am approaching the half way mark on taking out the concrete so I can install a drainage & sump system. The Bosch Brute is a heavy duty man's machine and will make the stoutest person sweat but it will do the job and save you a lot of $$$ by doing it yourself and not renting a much abused one that costs $$ for everyday you rent it. I knew this would take me some time and I could not afford to have it done so for me this was my best choice.Read full review

I'm a little disappointed that the cord was cut off short when a new plug was put on it and some of the screws are falling out. Already lost one.
