The Boss NS-2 gives you a guitar effect pedal that is both powerful and efficient. This guitar pedal was designed to create tones with noise suppression effects. Good Product, But Boss Is Dumb
I love the pedal. I find it rather stupid, however, that Boss does not include the inexpensive power adapters with their products. So, go buy the adapter or you'll be replacing the 9V battery constantly. Note - Boss of course states to only use their power adapter. Howrver, you can save about $20 by buying a different adapter with the exact same specs and you'll have zero problems.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Wonderful pedal
This is a modded NS-2 courtesy of Alchemy Audio. Magic might be too strong a word for how well this pedal works, but not by much. Its simply amazing; cuts the hiss right out of the sound when the boost, compression and/or OD pedals are engaged. Strongly recommended. The pedal costs $100 and Alchemy charge $50 for the mod; I bought this one for $75, used but who cares. The LED's are very, very bright - might need to put some tinted transparent stuff over them as I have with another Alchemy pedal - no biggie. Amazing value.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awesome
I know i always say that. This noise gate is a sign from God. It cleaned up my Randall amp and made it sound a million times better. Boss has always been good, and we all drool over chorus, distortion, and other stuff, but without a good noise gate, it just doesn't matter. It was a little road worn, but the listing said as much. Much needed mods
Not to say the stock version is bad, but this mod takes the original to a studio quality level. When dealing with noisy amps that make it difficult to edit in the recording process this Alchemy Audio mod is the perfect choice. Must for high gain Marshall Amp
This is the pedal to remove noise from a high gain amp. It will reduce feedback from your guitar when the volume is up but are not playing. when the guitar is played the gate opens and your tone is not effected. Surprisingly great!
Before writing the review I had to try a few things and read the manual to understand how it works. BOSS Noise Supressor
It's a huge compliment to any pedal board. If your tired of excessive hum, buzzing or just white noise especially when using multiple pedals on a pedal board this is the solution. I mated mine with a BOSS LS-2 Line Selector pedal at the start of my pedal chain so every pedal is covered by it. It allows instant quiet after quick aggressive picking starts and stops while using heavy distortion. It's a "Fire and Forget" pedal for the most part if your running the same gear regularly. Less treble loss
I opted to try this mod rather than buy a new device from another maker. It opened up the highs, which was my problem with the ns2 in the first place...
