Excellent protection for you lens
If you want to protect you valuable lens without adding anything to the image, this is the only way to go. Other lenses, UV included, will change what you are shooting. For digital photos, if you want "pure" images, this is the filter for you. Thin enough so it doesn't cause vignetting, light, and strong. There aren't a lot of choices for a "clear" filter out there (Sigma has just announced one, but I haven't tried it out yet).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Clear quality protection.
I have Nikon NC filters on each of my four Fuji lenses for protection and quality clear glass. Even after 45 years of photography, I have never had a scratched front lens. My first trainer asked me what was on the front of my lens, I said a UV/Skylight filter. He said you are a professional now and dont need one.
