Oil pan looks to be of good quality but it turns out I will not need it. Last time I went for an oil change Jiffy Lube told me my drain plug on my Honda CRV was cross threaded (too much resistance when they tried to remove it ) and they refused to do the oil change. The dealer wanted $600 to replace the oil pan so instead I ordered this oil pan and gasket and drove 100 miles to an auto hobby shop on a military base only to find out the drain plug was just fine when I removed it. How many people would have just paid the $600 to a dealer assuming what they were told was correct. I was also under the impression that my original oil pan was cast aluminum with an RTV gasket and I was nervous that this after market pan was made of steel but when I got under the car I discovered the original pan was made of steel as well. I am glad I did not order the very expensive aluminum pan.
