Good pads, not perfect fit
Car: 2017 Honda Civic Si Good quality pads, works well but is slightly smaller than oem pads and cause slight clunk when pressing brake pedal at slow speed either in 1st gear or reverse due to fitting issue. Has slight play when installed. Never had this issue before with other brake pads. Best aftermarket brake pads available
I'd rather pay a couple bucks more upfront than dealing with noises, accelerated wear, separated brake material 6 months down the road. I won't worry about about these for a few years. This is the case where the cheapest guy who pays the most. I have used Akebono for many years on 15 cars I have to maintain/repair with no issues. It's on par with OEM pads. All my cars now have Akebono Brakes!
I have done many brake jobs over the years and These pads ROCK!!!! If the rotors have some minor groves or whatever you do not have to turn them using these pads, they will smooth things out, no JOKE! they are quieter than other breaks and when they do make noise, well they are telling you it is time to replace the pads. Brake Dust??? no where near as bad as the others and you will avoid looking like a German car with black front rims!!!
