It does exactly what is supposed to do. It allows the use of the very common SR-43 / 386 battery in cameras that require a 1.35v mercury oxide MR9, PX13 or PX625 battery. An adapter which adapts the size and, more importantly, the voltage of modern batteries to work in older cameras.
This adapter allows me to use modern batteries that are 1.55V with my older film cameras which require a mercury 1.35 battery, which are no longer made. The electronics do no operate accurately if I were to use a 1.55V battery without the adapter. Battery adapter works great for old Minolta SLR
