This was purchased as a replacement 575 watt motor for a KitchenAid Model KV25mcxcu Mixer. The mixer is rated to mix up to 12 cups of all purpose flour when kneading bread dough. The new motor sounds good but will not handle the loads required for this unit. While mixing bread dough an amperage meter was monitored. Using an 8 cup all purpose flour mix the unit surged between 4.24 amps and 14.7 amps. It was run for less than 1 minute before the motor stopped running. The motor temperature was 94 Degrees Fahrenheit when it stalled. The original motor was the same Chinese piece of trash. It runs as good as the new one but is noisy. That is why we chose to replace it. Unless we can come up with a better motor this mixer will not perform anywhere close to rated output.

The motor is an exact replacement for my Kitchenaid stand mixer. However, the new unit is quite noisy compared to the original. It would almost seem that the unit is a reman or second. When I received the replacement motor, it was damaged. the wire harness guide was broken off and the packaging did not appear adequate to prevent this sort of damage. Time will determine if the motor is any good.

This motor does not have the torque of the original motor. When mixing heavy dough this motor completely stops (fortunately it does come back on), the original motor never did that. The original motor would slow down but never come to a complete stop.

Good motor.. But I had to cut a chunk of my blender to make it fit .. My blender is a Kitchen Aid, MODEL KP2671XBK

great price, but if you are replacing the old motor you have to replace the the lower grear case. This motor will not fit.
