Excellent service on an old product.
The Supermicro motherboard is an older design and is previously used, but it fills my need for an inexpensive server board with ECC memory. When it arrived, it worked perfectly. I installed FreeNAS with no problems, and the 8 GB of ECC RAM is the minimum recommended. I can add another 4 GB of ECC RAM for a very reasonable price. The board is designed for a 1U chassis, but has two PCI-E channels, which is exactly what I need for disk controllers. The X3460 processor is quad-core and hyper-threading, providing eight threads. Overall, this turns out to be a very good value, and if pampered, it should give me years of service.
