The control board was new and worked when installed. The posted picture when I was entertaining buying it did not show the board out of the static bag. That was likely because that would require breaking the seal on the bag. All said and done it took an hour to remove old replace with new.

After a six year flawless run, my GE dishwasher decided to stop starting and blinked and beeped. Though no instructions cam with the board there were plenty of You tube repair videos to review to know exactly how to remove and replace the board. It went in without a hitch and the washer started immediately. My only concern is that in reading some reviews of the control board, some folks report early failures or "bad boards". My recommendations above are based on the current working of the dishwasher and new board.
