They work great until they don't.
I love these things and they've become a necessity in my life. I've had quite a few of them and they work great but eventually they fail. I don't really hold that against them, I just buy another one. I especially like this (discontinued) model because of its intuitive controls and ease of use. Recorder is in like new shape. I use these recorders at work to take field notes outdoors. I put them on a lanyard and wear around my neck. I use them all summer to take field notes. I am in wind, dust and sometimes rain. They always record. If it gets wet and stops working all you need to do is let it air dry and it will work again.
