  • Great thermal printer

The setup was fairly easy, watch the video tutorial first tho. We had to enlist some help from our online stamp dealer so the thermal printer worked properly. Once all that drama resolved itself; we are tickled pink. This is our first thermal printer so all the differences are amazing. No ink used in the laser printer, no wasted time inserting a sheet of labels, a roll of labels appears to be the same cost or less of the 4 6 sheet of labels, labels that don't smear. We are extremely happy with this printer!

  • Time = Money.... YOU NEED THIS

It took a little time watching youtube videos on how to set it up, then another video on how to adjust your print settings. Once that was done, the product works absolutely amazing and WHY DIDN'T I BUY THIS 3 YEARS AGO? If you run a business and still use an inkjet or laser printer, the amount of time this thing will save you is worth every penny! Never tape over a label again! You can dip these labels in a bucket of water and rub all over them, the lines are still crisp and perfect. CONS: My particular unit must have an extremely loose power connection, if you touch the cords or move the unit ever so slightly I lose power. So once you get it in position and have power, don't touch it!

  • Prints fast

Prints way faster then the LP2844 we replaced. However the directions provided, while very detailed, lead to a path of problems. I ended up not using the driver or directions they provided and just installed the zebra driver instead from the zebra printer site. It then worked perfect, so I would try the zebra driver first, then if you have issues try the driver they recommend as a last resort.

  • Excellent Printer

It was a little more involved to get set up the first time. I purchased it used I had to locate to correct software to download then it still took me a few attempts to get it to print label the correct size. Since then easy as can be and it has already been a cost saver. It saves me on ink and labels.

  • Great printer... when you replace the drivers.

Printer is relatively easy to install... however, to get really clear prints, I recommend ditching the drivers Windows installs automatically and downloading the driver from Seagull Scientific's website. After that, I slowed the print speed down and increased the darkness to 16 and now I have a label printer that gives me a clear print every time... not too shabby at all.

  • Little machine, big punch

Surprisingly simple, easy and excellent quality! This printer has not only saved me time-- but it has singlehandedly transformed all shipping in my business. Highly recommended if you're still using laser or ink jet for printing labels.

  • UPS/FedEx Label Printer

I have this setup to print labels with UPS easily. I ship mainly with UPS so this made sense to me. I tried to set it up for both UPS and Fedex with the drivers. It appears that Fedex and UPS use different drivers from what I can tell. I can print a FedEx Label with the browser print dialog, but id doesn't come out as nice as with the UPS website and drivers. That being said, this thing has horrible DPI (200). I knew this going it because I wanted something cheap that I could get free labels from UPS to ship with. I'd previously been using a Dymo 4XL. It's two years old and has worked great, but there's no support (or free labels) with online shipping for the dymo printers.

  • If you have the right software, it might work better

I bought this printer because it said in the listing that it could be used to print USPS labels. What they don't mention is that this printer technically is only for use with UPS's shipping software. I am an IT professional and it definitely took some work to get it to print. You have to download the UPS driver from Zebra's website and install it (even if you aren't going to use the UPS software). Then you have to monkey with the label size and margins to get the label to line up with what you are printing. If you do get it lined up, the print quality isn't the greatest and it does haze out in spots. I don't have a bar code reader or whatever tool USPS uses to scan it, so I don't know if the slight fading affects their ability to read the bar codes. So far, I haven't had any packages returned. Bottom line: Setting up this printer takes some work, and it will never work Perfectly unless you are using it with UPS's shipping software.

  • Excellent for UPS shipping labels

Great for printing UPS shipping labels - this ZP450 model was exclusively for UPS, so it may or may not work with other services. I use my printer exclusively with UPS and it does great. Download the UPS printer driver and you will be up and running in no time. Mine did require label alignment (spits out too many labels when not aligned correctly). Other than that, it has been extremely useful thus far!

  • Workhorse Little Printer

We have more than a dozen of the Zebra ZP450 printers and many of them see a heavy daily load. These things keep on printing with almost no maintenance and very few issues. We've printed thousands of labels in one day on a single printer. Over the years, I've only removed 2 from service and we certainly go our use out of them before doing so. These are ideal for shipping labels.
