Good, With a Few Drawbacks
Well made. It is a bit on the large side, but that was one reason I bought it. Very sturdy. The control buttons on the front panel are very sensitive, and only need to be touched to be activated. This is very cool, as I was tempted to almost punch them in like most every other component I have ever had. Picture quality is excellent - vivid, sharp, and rock steady on pause. The drawbacks, and there are a few, are the following: 1. There are chattering noised from it if while it is on you already inserted a DVD, and even when you are not watching it. It is pretty much constant as long as there is a DVD player inside it while it is on. During on particular movie we even heard that noise during play. But for the most part I am not aware of it 90% of the time, so I hope this is not something defective with this unit. 2. Slow to start. Once it is turned on, play of the DVD is not immediate. Rather, it seems to want to prime things up before starting. Once you are at the main menu things are improved,but is always a bit slow to shift between modes. .3 Remote. Well designed, but with a few quirks in the layout. Overall I am pretty happy with mine, but would perhaps look elsewhere the next time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
