This was the first John Saul book I ever read, since I have read all he has written. This story was one that I just did not get into the characters. Usually Saul's books pull you right into the characters, maybe it was his way of showing the lack of personality and compassion the characters were able to show do to what they were lacking. I don't know? You decide...
