The WORX WG509 TRIVAC 3-In-1 Electric Leaf Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum with Metal Blade is slightly under powered. For the city, not to bad though. :-) Simple to use and put together. The directional nozzle works for me. I'm short. About 5'6". We have a Silver Tipped Maple tree, so- lot's of leaves, year after year. So actually keeping the leaves closer to the ground is also important. Not to bad. I haven't used the Mulcher yet, but, I'm hoping it will be as consistent as the leaf blower. Meaning easy to use with no break downs. For the money, I purchased the WORX WG509 TRIVAC 3-In-1 Electric Leaf Blower/Mulcher/Vacuum with Metal Blade as a refurbish. It does feel new, looks new and appears to operate new. I will give it about a month or so-. It's still clean up time. It arrived almost two days than expected, happy about that.Read full review

I have owned this product for about six weeks and used it about as many times. I have found it to be quite useful and overall I am happy with my purchase. I have never owned/used this type of product before, so I don't know how it compares to a different brand or similar products. I choose this model because it seems to be the top of Worx product line and the design allows you to go from blower to vac with a simple turn of a knob and don't forget the METAL impellar. The vac/mulch function is it's best feature but it is not as powerful as I had hoped. Wet leaves require frequent unclogging. I had to develop a couple of techniques to reduce the frequency of clogging. I found that if I turned vac so the opening was up in the air and gravity feed clumps of leaves/debris into the opening, resulted in less clogging. Also, "stabbing" into a pile of leaves/debris sometimes worked better than standard vacuuming. I found blower function to be some what difficult to control and did not produce as strong an air stream as I was expecting (210 mph?). I think the vac exhaust produces a stronger air stream and sometimes use that instead (now if I could only find a attachment to extend it). I also purchased the WA4054 LeafPro Collection/bagging system, which I highly recommend. In fact, I have never used the small collection bag that comes free with the WG509. It's just to small for my needs. The WG509's ability to reduce leaves/debris 18:1 is certainly time and space saver. Like I said overall, I'm happy with it and hopefully will continue to use it for many years to come but still I'd like to try out the Black and Decker UltraPlus model just to see ...Read full review

The design of the Trivac, though techie, is not optimum. There is no way to separate the vacuum nozzle from the blower nozzle, and the blower is hidden under the much larger vacuum nozzle when you are using it. It also adds to the weight. Switching between vacuum and blower is a trivial flip of a valve handle. The variable motor speed settings are useful and a nice feature. The mulcher is very good. As a yard vacuum, I rate this tops. It is less than tops as a leaf blower compared with the Toro of the same 12 amp rating.

I bought one of these years ago and it has the old plastic impeller which starts to wear down over time and you slowly loose power. Worx doesn’t sell just the impeller and want me to buy a whole new unit just for a modern metal impeller....not cool at all, so I’m looking for just the impeller as my unit itself is fine, just not as powerful as it used to be. I feel that WORX should do something to help us buyers of the old version get replacement impellers.🤔🥵

This is a nice light duty blower-vac for residential use. It is small, easy to assemble without tools, but can be quirky to use. The intake tube stays in place at all times and to use the blower you need to flip a large handle that will shift the discharge air between either the blower nozzle or the debris bag. This blower-vac is more primarily a vac that can also be used as blower instead of primarily a blower that can also be used as a vac. I use the vac function to keep my back porch and patio clean where using a blower would just make more of a mess. The same goes for cleaning leaves out of my garage using the vac where I don't want to shower my vehicles and tools with dirt if I used a blower. I especially like that it uses a cord, as I don't want to mess around with the added expense and trouble of batteries.Read full review
