I was a bit wary of this ELO,....but after ,well, getting all the others I finally bought it. I have to say it's not really that bad,...and in fact, maybe I like it more not having heard it when it was first released? After years passing ,and my disdain for electro-pop 1980's sounds fading a bit,.....I have to say the tunes here are what helps this get a better rating ,probably, than I'd have given it in it's day, when I'd bet I would have thought it was too electronic compared to the old ELO. Also the bonus tracks here are some very good cuts! They add a lot of "other" sounds that the original album never had....making for a "more rounded" release. I still wouldn't buy this one first. But it does have some very good qualities......good hooks, pleasant tunes, and it's still familiar in a Travelling Wilburys way. You can hear which cuts might have been Orbison songs...etc. In retrospect this is pretty likable.....no "wash out" for sure. If you're a big fan step up and forgive a little. There's lots to like here!Read full review

Not at their best! I can understand why Jeff Lynne put the whole ELO project on an extended hiatus.
