Don't expect top quality
If you're in it just to be able to display a representation of the car from Smokey and the bandit then sure, buy it. You need to go into this purchase knowing that compared to other 1/18 scale models, there's very little detail that went into this one...and the price doesn't reflect that. From the none opening hood and trunk, the underdeveloped interior (the dash cluster is a sticker), the steering doesn't function, and the T-tops don't seem to come off, this car should be about $20 in reality. For a comparable price the 1/18 Scale General Lee is tons better than this and it's not top-of-the-line either. I like the car for what it is but it was over priced and is basically an oversized Hotwheels car.

I LIKE THE CAR. AND THE PRICE. THE DETAILS ARE GOOD. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THAT THE HOOD DOESN'T OPEN. I MUST HAVE OVER LOOKED IT BEFORE I ORDERED IT. BUT THE OVER ALL CAR I LIKE IT. Not very happy with this model's details
This model lacks the right details ,wheels in front do not turn, shade of gold on stripes perfect but different on other areas,especially the wheels. Hood does not open to show the engine. all the other T/A MODELS that Have are more true to the details.

Beautiful model that could have been better.

Great model to run from Sheriff Buford T. Justice.
This is a wonderful model. Great detail, good weight and nice construction. It's a shame you have to leave it in the box to preserve it. Looking at it it makes you want to take it out and jump it over things as well as race your other model cars like Burt Reynolds did. It makes you remember the theme to the movie. "East Bound and Down".

Overpriced
If it didn't cost around 50-60 dollars it wouldn't be a problem, but what I paid for was a cheap model where it seemed that the designers only cared about the steal body. Everything else is not detailed at all, you can't open the hood nor the trunk. Also the undercarriage is just a plastic sheet. Cool to look at from a distance till closer inspection.
