Works pretty good
Oddly, our cats didn't really do anythign with it when the skirt was attached. After removing the skirt and raising the device up on a stool, then they would play with it. Then we tied a couple pieces of ribbon to the end of it and now they go nuts over it. After it ran for a couple hours or so, it started squeaking badly which was driving us nuts. I took it apart and applied some wax (bicycle chain lube) to the contact areas that support the spinning mechanism and it's been silent ever since with a quiet whirring sound as the motor spins it. We will buy another if it breaks and the cats remain interested in it. Our older cat lost interest pretty quick, but our 6 month old cat demands that we turn it on daily for her. She will stand on it and cry at us until we turn it on. Then she plays with it for an hour or so and we shut it off when she gets distracted by something else.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cat Loves it
It occupies our Cat and sometimes she just loves to watch it. This is however the 4th one purchased in approximately 3 yrs. It's made in China & won't last a year. However, we continue to purchase b/c our Cat needs the stimulation in the winter months, when she can't go out and when it hasn't worked & we have had to wait or search to replace it, when it no longer functions, she truly misses it. Cats Play, Young and Old
The Cat Meow is enjoyed mostly by my two young cats, but I do see my two older cats playing with it occasionally. They like to attack it, hold down the toy so it basically doesn't move, or go after the little tail that sticks out. The only problem is the battery life is short and the "C" batteries (2) have to be replaced frequently. . It does make some noise and the top plastic gets stuck or rolls under but for the money it is worth it. not as good as original
we had 2 others before we got this one and it was different in a couple different ways. original one has alternate speed buttons on the top and a light to indicate it was on and the cord under the blanket was stronger. within a day or two the cat had the cord chewed off and we had to improvise with weedwacker cord and a mcdonalds coffee stirrer and gorilla glue. it seems to be working fine now and the other thing is it doesn't shut off it just keeps running till the battery dies.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hours of Fun !
My cat loves this ! It gives all of us hours of entertainment ! I think it is well built. Yes, the cat get's too smart and can pull out the wand that spins around. She carries the wand to her feeding dish, making it very special. It's easy to put wand back where it goes. We use it everyday, and the 3 C-size batteries I put in it are still going strong, after several months ! We ended up ordering two more Cat's Meow for family and friends. While this works fine my cat is scared to death of it. I ended up taking the yellow fabric, and putting it on the floor for the cat to roll around on, but I can not use the electronic piece to it. My cats just watched it for a few seconds and walked away
My cats just weren't into this toy. My one cat played with it before I turned it on, then immediately lost interest. I wish I could post the video of them watching it for a few seconds and then walking away. The epitome of boredom. Cats love it but VERY low quality. Won't last long
Most of the cats loved it, however it won't last long. It arrived with a huge hole at the seam. It seems whoever was working quality control was not paying much attention and the fabric that was supposed to be sewn into the seam wasn't even in the seam at all. So there is a gaping hole on one side. The arm comes out very easily, so stay with it so you can put it back in. The material is very very thin, so it has held onto the folds it was put in inside the box. Meaning it doesn't lay flat on the ground. It tries to fold back up and just a cat walking across it will bunch it up on one side. The motor will often stop and not go again unless you move the arm a bit. This was not a "turn off automatically" function as it was happening every minute or so. I had to sit right by it and get it going again, flatten the cloth back out and get their paws out of the gaping hole at the edge. bought 2 of them, they eat batteries like candy! but that's ok since they both broke within 2 days each. Typical low grade Chinese garbage plastic gearboxes, the gears strip teeth fast because of the design. really good idea, but low grade quality of construction. Sorry, just being honest here, they are not worth 1/4 of what I paid for them.
