I burned up my prior blender by putting too many goodies when blending smoothies. I bought this unit as a replacement noting the three-bladed spindle and 1100W for increased power Having used this blender a few times, I've discovered that even with the increased power and three-bladed spindle, the unit does not chop up the food material as finely as my old unit. I finally got a chance to use this and WOW! It's amazing! I drink a smoothie EVERY day! I usually make up a huge batch and freeze it in small containers so I can just grab one each morning on the go.
