I ordered the 100w version of this machine. I arrived with the laser tube packed separately. Nothing was damaged in shipment. I needed a forklift to unload the shipping crate from the semi truck that delivered it.
I am very impressed with the quality and completeness of this machine. It came with everything needed to get started - exhaust blower, air pump, tubing, water tank,...
The laser tube has to be installed. The 100w tube is ~56" long and sticks out of the right side of the machine. A steel cover was provided to protect the tube. I needed some heat shrink tubing and my soldering iron to join the laser tubes wires. It was simple to install the laser tube.
After connecting the laser tube, air and water pumps and power - the machine turned on and was able to fire a pulse. I still need to verify laser alignments at each mirror, but it is very close right out of the box.
"X" and "Y" axis run smoothly. The "Z" axis is manual - which after trying it, works fine. Most of the time, I'll only be moving it up and down a few millimeters to adjust for different thicknesses of material.
I haven't spent much time on the machine yet, but so far I'm very happy with it.
Only been using it for a week but for what this laser costs it seems to be a good value. Did take some trial and error getting the tube installed and not burning out the HV connection. Also getting all the mirrors and lens adjusted took a little while but there is an excellent YouTube video that walks through the process. I would recommend doing a bit of interweb searches to help you though the setup as the Chinese manual and videos are of much use. Lightburn is worth the cost and works well with the Ruida DSP controller this unit comes with. Buy a chiller (~$100 on eBay) and don't even mess with the aquarium pump this comes with. After doing some test cuts comparing it to the same image I cut on a friends BossLaser I'm glad I saved the $6k-$7k by getting this laser. Even if I have to replace the tube in 2000 hours it's still a bargain and now that I set up the laser and mirrors once it will be much easier. Need to look into adding the motors for the z axis as this unity in manual in that axis.
