If your Cherokee has been chugging and idling a little "choppy" like, try a cap and rotor kit from these folks.
I've had my Cherokee for about 15 years now. The cap, rotor and plugs & wires were all replaced at least once since then. As of late, say the past 2 years, when it's running and I walk behind the vehicle I could hear the missing and chugging coming from the exhaust. Guess I just blew it off....too many other things going on in my life.... and that's no excuse. A Quality Cap, Rotor, Wires and NGK Plugs all at one time ! My Cherokee thanks me every time I turn the key and when I am driving, accelerating or just cruising. Never has it , that I can recall, run so smooth and started so good. My old cap was TOASTED and the rotor too, those contacts were black and burnt to a jagged crisp.... really bad. My plugs looked almost perfect but changed them out anyway. The wires were most likely okay but they went too. Saved the wires and plugs as spares....why, I don't know. So if your Cherokee has been chugging and idling a little "choppy" like, try a cap and rotor kit from these folks. I actually asked them to send me a YELLOW cap but they are the exact same thing.
