No regrets, works well. Makita manufactures a good tool.
I bought this unit for polishing large rocks. So far works well, but it's been a little cold to use it much. (Written in Nebraska during April). Water hookup isn't a problem with Makita's provided quick hose connector attachment. This is to say connecting the garden hose. However, disconnecting the quick connect while attached to a garden hose can be a challenge. Once the garden hose is disconnected from the quick connect attachment, the quick connect attachment will release from the grinder without a problem. Water output is very good. Variable speed works well; however, I tend to keep it at a medium speed. Unit is a little heavy and bulky due to heavy duty circuit breaker and hose. This unit is meant for countertop polishing so it is a little difficult to polish rocks. The guard is a problem as it limits polishing on different angles, but I do not want to remove it as it keeps water from back splashing. With more experience, and after I construct a worktable capable of bracing rocks so I can handle the unit with two hands, this product will meet my needs and exceed expectations. Attachment changes are easy.
